'Celebrity Rehab' alum Shifty Shellshock in a coma
Shifty Shellshock, the erstwhile frontman of one-hit wonders Crazy Town and repeated alumnus of Celebrity Rehab, has fallen into a coma and is stuck at an L.A. hospital, TMZ reports. There has been no cause released, but rumor has it there just may be drugs involved.
The site says Shifty, a.k.a. 37-year-old Seth Binzer, has been in the ICU since Thursday, and was slated for a pre-trial hearing for a February cocaine arrest. Sources said he was pretty anxious about the whole thing, which is understandable. The most memorable thing about his time with Dr. Drew Pinsky was seeing Binzer's adorable son Halo, who is now about 8 years old or so and has type I diabetes.
He has another son, who is 2, with ex-girlfriend Jasmine Lennard, whom TMZ says was denied admission to the hospital by Shifty's sister on Monday. The ensuing argument got so bad, security apparently had to get involved.
"The family is blaming me for leaving him during Christmas for this relapse," Lennard told the site. Shifty's problems extend all the way back to his appearances on the MTV shows Celebrity Rehab and Sober House, both of which he appeared on twice for multiple relapses. No further word was available on his condition.
