Celine Dion checks into West Palm Beach hospital for pregnancy
Celine Dion, who is hunkering down for the birth of twin boys with husband Rene Angelil, checked into a West Palm Beach hospital Monday for observation, People reports. She plans to sell tickets for $75 apiece.
"Ms. Céline Dion has been admitted to St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida for observation at the recommendation of her doctors," a statement from the hospital read. "She has been admitted to prevent the early delivery of her babies, which is the standard of care for any patient with twin pregnancy in this clinical setting."
And while there had been rumors the couple had scheduled a C-section for Friday and that Celine had been pretty divatastic about the whole affair, Angelil and the hospital deny that: "Celine and Rene have placed the health of their babies as their highest priority. Recently, rumors have circulated that Ms. Dion has made certain demands of St. Mary's Medical Center regarding the birth of her children. All of these rumors are false," the statement read.
Of course, it's in hoity-toity West Palm, where normal demands are only six 'round-the-clock nurses, not 10, and the off-brand morphine drip. Good luck with those sacrifices, mom. The 42-year-old also has a 9-year-old son, Rene-Charles.
