Chad Johnson's VH1 reality show is cancelled
Chad Johnson already lost his job as a wide receiver with the Miami Dolphins, but he's also going to have to find a way to replace the income from his upcoming reality show. Seems VH1 doesn't want to tell the story about a football player living with his wife when he gets fired from his NFL team after allegedly headbutting his wife during an argument on Saturday.
"Due to the unfortunate events over the weekend and the seriousness of the allegations, VH1 is pulling the series Ev and Ocho from its schedule and has no current plans of airing it," the network told TMZ in a statement. Evelyn Lozada was released from a hospital on Sunday morning after the fight, which ended in Johnson's arrest.
The couple got married in July before Chad changed his name back from Ochocinco, so that explains the title. The spinoff from Basketball Wives is already in the can and was getting readied for a Sept. 3 debut. It was supposed to follow their entire relationship from dating to marriage, but imagine that, it simply didn't work out.
