Charle Sheen surrenders custody of kids with Denise Richards
Good ol' Charlie Sheen has been a real staple of gossip rags lately, so when he's not in court for allegedly hitting wife Brooke Mueller, he's in court surrendering custody of his kids with ex-wife Denise Richards. At least he's consistent.
TMZ reports that he has signed an agreement with Richards giving up custody of Sam, 6, and Lola, 4. Up until now they had a joint custody agreement. The site says Denise was concerned over his recent problems and wanted to take the children until his sobriety, marital and criminal issues were resolved. So, for good, then.
The site says the ex-couple signed the documents two weeks ago but waited during a cooling off period, which is perhaps the sanest thing either one of them has done in years. Also, he will still pay Denise $50,000 a month in child support, which is dwarfed by the $55,000 plus medical and schooling expenses he agreed to in Brooke's prenup; that could drive Mueller's payday up to $125,000 per month. No wonder he doesn't want kids around.
