Charlie Daniels suffers mild stroke in Colorado
In some news that will surely resonate with a sizable portion of our Tampa Bay peoples, country legend Charlie Daniels suffered a mild stroke while snowmobiling in Colorado on Friday, his Web site says. But don't cancel your concert plans just yet.
CharlieDaniels.com says the 73-year-old was first treated at a hospital in Durango before being airlifted to Denver. Mild must be the right word, because he was released on Sunday.
The site adds that there are no plans to cancel or postpone Florida concerts next month. The Charlie Daniels Band is coming to Fort Pierce on Feb. 27 and Brooksville on Feb. 28. He'll also be in Pensacola in March, but man, that's far.
