Charlie Sheen may be in rehab for mere seconds
Sure, Charlie Sheen cut a deal in Aspen on Monday over his domestic abuse charges -- we all know that by now. But did you know that besides getting to go to rehab in Malibu for his sentence, he may very well serve only seconds for it? The writers for Two and a Half Men have just got to be behind this.
Sheen pleaded guilty Monday to misdemeanor third-degree assault against Brooke Mueller in exchange for prosecutors dropping two other more serious charges, including a felony charge of menacing, the AP reports. He was sentenced to 30 days at Promises Treatment Center , 30 days of probation and 36 hours of anger management. But since Charlie already checked into Promises for 93 days prior to his trial, he may not have to do much time there.
"Credit for time served is absolutely on the table," his attorney, Yale Galanter said. "How much credit he gets is up to Promises."
TMZ says they'll likely credit him with plenty: Word is that he'll check into the center on Aug. 23, then immediately check back out. That will give him plenty of time to work on his divorce from Mueller.
