Charlie Sheen is on Twitter to make some money
Besides showing up on every other media outlet this week to give his side of events, Charlie Sheen has popped up on one other conspicuous place: Twitter. And why would he join the ubiquitous microblogging medium? For money, of course. What, you think he wanted to spur a revolution or something?
Sheen, whose account @charliesheen has scored 1.3 million followers and counting since its debut on Tuesday, tells TMZ the site is a "cash cow." He says he expects to be able to bring in advertising dollars ASAP, a la Kim Kardashian, who can score up to $10,000 per tweet to mention products. Chuckwagon's already made #winning and #tigerblood pretty popular trending topics, as it is.
"I'm unemployed!" Sheen told the site, which was asking why he was posting weird photos and incoherent ramblings on his account. Ironic, given that very same big mouth is what got Two and a Half Men booted from the rest of the schedule to begin with.
