Charlie Sheen wants to work, pay his coworkers' salaries
The latest rumor concerning Charlie Sheen is actually a good one: TMZ says the drug-addled actor is willing to pay one-third of salaries for the Two and a Half Men crew while he's working through at-home rehab. Of course, no one can really prove he said this, but it's nice to think, isn't it?
The site said he'd go in on a three-way deal with Warner Bros. and CBS to make sure the workers are paid while he's laid up. TMZ also says Sheen wants to go back to work on Monday, but CBS insists no one has asked the network to pay up for anything, and the crew is far from ready to go back to shooting, anyway.
All CBS and Warner Bros. wants is for their $2 million man to return: "We sincerely hope that Charlie's rehab is going well," a Warner Bros. suit told TMZ. "We hope that he is healthy in the very near future and we look forward to the return of production of Two and a Half Men." In other words, heck no, we're not paying people to not work.
