Cher gets $60 million for new Vegas show
If you’ve been wondering what Cher is up to lately (and really, who hasn’t?), you’ll be happy to hear the diva has signed a three-year, 200-show deal to perform a show in Las Vegas, the AP reports.
Cher at The Colosseum will replace Celine Dion as a headline act at Caesars Palace, alternating with shows by Bette Midler and Elton John.
“I started in Vegas at Caesars, so I’ve come full circle,” the 61-year-old said. “I’m back, and I plan to give my fans the best experience yet. I think everybody knows I only do things in a big way.”
It’s easy to do things in a big way when you get a reported $60 million for the deal and can still have a blase attitude about it. “I know it’s a lot, but I don’t care. If it’s a lot, if someone says, ‘ooh, it’s a lot,’ Okay, fine. It must be a lot,” she told ABC.
The 90-minute show will run four nights a week with ticket prices running for $95 to $250. To The Juice*, that’s a lot.
