Chewbacca will be on the Glee Christmas episode
Gleeks have a really big reason to nerd out this winter, since it looks like a guest from the Star Wars universe is going to drop by for the show's Christmas episode. Finally, one of these guys is going to be old enough to shave.
Actor Matthew Morrison spilled the beans on Jimmy Kimmel Live, saying the wookiee would be appearing on "Extraordinary Merry Christmas" on Dec. 13. Morrison directed the episode, which he says will be combo of the Star Wars Holiday Special and old Judy Garland Christmas specials. That sounds, um, interesting. There's a reason the Star Wars thing only aired once in 1978, you know.
"We called up George Lucas, and he gave us Chewbacca," Morrison said (watch the interview below). "There's only one guy who can officially be Chewbacca, and he lives in Northern California. They flew him in. ... We had Chewbacca for the day. It was just great. We were taking pictures with him. ... He's been doing it for 12 years."
That would explain why Chris Colfer tweeted a photo of himself with the walking carpet via @chriscolfer back on Nov. 18. "I officially have my Christmas Card!!!" Colfer noted. Don't get too wary about this news, however, because Chewie's not going to sing. That can only be a good thing.
