What's going on with Chris Brown's alleged iPhone snatching in South Beach, anyway? Well, he's either headed to prison or he's not in any trouble at all, depending on which media outlet you believe these days.

MediaTakeOut.com says Miami police are searching for Breezy's fingerprints on Christal Spann's phone, since she claims Brown took it from her outside Cameo nightclub last month because she dared to take his photo. If Chris' prints are on the phone, he'll be charged with robbery and violating his parole, which would send him to the lockup.

"Here's what happened," the site writes. "Rapper Tyga was in the car with Chris when he ALLEGEDLY took the girl's phone. And ALLEGEDLY shortly after the ALLEGED taking, Tyga threw the phone out the car window ... ALLEGEDLY." The irony of all that sarcastic emphasis on what "allegedly" happened is that Brown's partner Tyga already told police Chris took the phone. So why does MTO keep using that word? We do not think it means what they think it means.

The Miami Herald wrote back on Feb. 26 that Brown was with two groupies in that car, and he didn't want to hurt his chances with a potential future hookup with his ex over it. "The guy's trying to get back with Rihanna, and he knows that wouldn’t happen if the photos ended up online," a source claims Tyga told police.

Brown even told bodyguards to swipe an iPhone from two women taking his picture: "Chris kept telling him: 'Erase the motherf---ing pictures,'" the source told the Herald. "'Those photos can’t get out there.'"

So it's still up in the air what will happen to Brown, in any event. Maybe Rihanna can tell everyone the truth on Twitter, if we're all very nice to her.
