He was charged in March by Los Angeles County prosecutors with felony assault likely to cause great bodily injury and making criminal threats when he allegedly punched, choked and bit Rihanna on Feb 8.
The 21-year-old Umbrella singer’s was represented by attorney Donald Etra.
“Nothing’s changed with regard to Rihanna’s stance toward this case ... She will testify if subpoenaed and will do everything that’s required of her to do,” Etra told People. Rihanna is “doing fine,” he said. “She’s in Barbados now with her family.”
Etra also said Rihanna is hoping that a deal can be worked out before a preliminary hearing or trial in the case, but that she will testify if required to.
“She would be pleased if this was over quickly,” Etra said.
Etra said Brown’s plea was “totally expected.”
If convicted, Brown could be sentenced to probation or nearly five years in prison.
