Christina Aguilera postpones 'Bionic' tour to 2011
Going back to work after having a baby can be tough on any woman, but especially Christina Aguilera, who has suffered the embarrassment of not only losing the teen queen title to Britney Spears, but also the mantle of best exhibitionist platinum blonde to Lady Gaga. So now that she has a new album, what's her strategy? Postpone her comeback tour until next year. Great idea!
"Christina Aguilera's summer tour has been moved to 2011 due to prior commitments that the singer had made to her film, Burlesque, and to the promotion of her new album, Bionic," tour promoter Live Nation said in a statement, according to PopEater. "The singer felt she needed more time to rehearse the show and with less than a month between the album release and tour dates this wasn't possible."
That means if you were slavering to watch her strange soft-core porn outfits and Madonna-style dance moves when she was slated to come to the Ford Amphitheatre on Aug. 8, you're out of luck. We're hoping she's retooling the whole shebang to go back to her '40s-style, Back to Basics look and sound. That really worked for her.
