NBC has been working to change up the format of Up All Night (which should really change the title of the show, since the kid's no longer an infant), but there's a really big curveball coming down the plate: Christina Applegate is leaving the show. That's a change we really don't think we'd watch the show for.

"It's been a great experience working on Up All Night, but the show has taken a different creative direction and I decided it was best for me to move on to other endeavors," Applegate said, according to Deadline.com. "Working with Lorne Michaels has been a dream come true and I am grateful he brought me into his TV family. I will miss the cast, producers and crew, and wish them the best always."

This is after series creator and executive producer Emily Spiver left the show, who took off after showrunner Jon Pollack left, the site says. The creative switch involved changing from a single-camera sitcom to a multi-camera show in front of a live audience, a change that was planned after season 2 ratings faltered. Of course, the show used to be about struggling professional parents but turned more into a show about Applegate working for Maya Rudolph after having a kid, so really, who cares? It's not the same show anymore, and no one's watching it, anyway.
