Christina Hendricks from 'Mad Men' talks about her body shape in 'New York'
You Mad Men lovers (well, the male ones, anyway) are always asking the Betty, Peggy or Joan question, and The Juice* always answers Christina Hendricks. But she tells New York magazine she'd like everyone to know she has plenty more assets than what's on display on the new issue's cover. Maybe she shouldn't have worn that corset to make her point.
“It kind of hurt my feelings at first,” she tells New York. “Anytime someone talks about your figure constantly, you get nervous, you get really self-conscious. I was working my butt off on the show, and then all anyone was talking about was my body!”
The interview expounds on the fact that hey, she can act, too, but also that Hendricks is an inspiration to girls who aren't pin-thin woman-children.
“It might sound silly, but I didn’t realize I was so different," Hendricks says. "I was just oblivious. Sometimes I would go on an audition and someone would say something like, Girl, you’re refreshing! That was it.”
