Conan O'Brien reveals his new TBS house band

Conan O'Brien has taken one more big step as he marches to the Nov. 8 premiere date of his TBS talk show, Conan, by naming a house band. Everyone say hello to Jimmy Vivino and the Basic Cable Band! Wait, who?

Vivino was former associate music director, arranger, guitarist and vocalist for Conan's Tonight Show and Late Night stints, MSN's TheWrap reports. He'll be replacing Max Weinberg, who elected not to move out to L.A. after NBC yanked the rug our from under Conan; Max had open-heart surgery instead.

TheWrap says other members of the band are Scott Healy (keyboards), Mike Merritt (bass), Mark Pender (trumpet), Richie "LaBamba" Rosenberg (trombone), Jerry Vivino (saxophone, woodwinds and vocals) and James Wormworth (drums). We're sure they're all thrilled by the name of the group.
