The court done got him all in check
A judge pulled a plea bargain for rapper Busta Rhymes, who is charged with two separate assaults, setting a trial date of May 8 for the two incidents. It seems probabtion and lecturing to troubled youth wasn't sufficient for Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Tanya Kennedy, who yanked the deal earlier today. The AP reports prosecutors then offered a new bargain of concurrent one-year sentences for the two counts, and a $500 fine on a suspended license charge. Busta, real name Trevor Smith, has been charged with allegedly beating and kicking his former driver in a dispute over back pay, and also allegedly assaulting a "fan" who spit on his car. Just stay away from him and his car, people.
