Courteney Cox wants to do a 'Friends' movie
The Juice* spends a lot of time in the '90s, so we always jump at a chance to speculate on a Friends reunion. That's right, we like remembering a simpler time when coffee shops were novelties and nobody had cell phones. Anyway, Courteney Cox says she'd love to do a big-screen reunion, a la Sex and the City.
"I wish we could do that with Friends," Cox told the L.A. Times. "The thing is, the characters from Sex and the City hopped all over Manhattan. On Friends, we were always stuck in the apartment and that coffeehouse."
That's why she excitedly said that Jennifer Aniston had a great idea for a movie -- we'd like to think it was about the sextet adopting a minority pal for once (Ross' girlfriends don't count) -- but don't get your hopes up.
"I don't think it's going to happen," Cox said. "Would (series creators David Crane and Marta Kauffman) want to write it? Because they'd have to be involved. I don't know … a lot of things would have to break just right for it to work. But we've daydreamed about it."
Maybe if Aniston got to work on Crane and Kauffman instead of chatting with Jersey Shore lowlifes Snooki and J-Woww at L.A.'s Trousdale, which she did on Monday, according to E!. That's not going to advance the career one bit, Jen.
