Dane Cook makes Colorado shooting jokes at comedy club
The Juice* doesn't like Dane Cook on a good day, but this is just tasteless: The so-called comedian took to joking about the Aurora, Colo., theater shootings at the Laugh Factory in L.A. on Thursday, totally ignoring the "plus time" portion of the "comedy equals tragedy plus time" equation. Hey, numbnuts, you couldn't even wait a week? Shame on you.
"So I heard that the guy came into the theater about 25 minutes into the movie, and I don’t know if you've seen the movie, but the movie is pretty much a piece of crap. Yeah, spoiler alert," he told the crowd, referring to alleged gunman James Eagan Holmes' rampage at The Dark Knight Rises, the Daily Caller reported. "I know that if none of that would have happened, pretty sure that somebody in that theater, about 25 minutes in, realizing it was a piece of crap, was probably like 'Ugh, f---ing shoot me.'" Watch it below, if you dare.
The audience groaned at first, then laughed and actually cheered, the Daily Caller said. Astonishing. At least Daniel Tosh and Eddie Griffin are temporarily off the hook. But then, if you're enough of a mouth-breather to pay to see Dane Cook, you've already got two strikes. That's why The Juice* is free: You get what you pay for.
