Daniel Radcliffe is going to play poet Allen Ginsberg
Another child actor who seems to be doing quite well for himself is Daniel Radcliffe, who is leaving his Harry Potter days behind him and signing up to play poet Allen Ginsberg in a new movie. Because he really needs a break after finishing a 10-month Broadway run in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.
The Hollywood Reporter says Daniel landed the role in Kill Your Darlings -- about Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac and William Burroughs being drawn together by a murder in 1944 -- after hunting it down since last fall. He told MTV before he got the job "it would be amazing and I'm very, very enthused for that script and that young director, (John Krokidas)." The movie costars Elizabeth Olsen, Dane DeHaan and Jack Huston.
Don't worry if the weird ramblings of beatnik poets isn't your cup of tea. Radcliffe's already starring in The Woman in Black, and that comes out Feb. 3, so you won't have to wait to see him again.
