Danny McBride, Rhys Darby may join 'The Office'
So many people who watch The Office have told The Juice* they'll likely stop watching once Steve Carell leaves, we have to think the show is dead. But wait, his likely replacements don't sound so bad -- like, uh, the band's manager from Flight of the Conchords, or that guy from Eastbound & Down.
Entertainment Weekly says that Danny McBride and Rhys Darby are being poked and prodded as a possible replacement for Dunder Mifflin's Michael Scott. Well, replacement might not be the best word, as the winner would join the cast later this season.
"We haven’t settled exactly who will take over," Office honcho Paul Lieberstein said, noting the show is "having discussions" now about a new cast member. Unfortunately for McBride fans, HBO just renewed Eastbound & Down, so start placing bets on Darby. Or some completely unrelated person who hasn't come up in any TV rumor mill.
