David Arquette planning a celebrity game show, 'Ranking the Stars'
David Arquette is dealing with his separation from wife Courteney Cox by getting off the couch and actually working by developing a celebrity game show. It's good to see him getting out of the house, but man, do we really have to look at David Arquette on the pitcher box?
Ranking the Stars, which is based on a Japanese game show, will ask a panel of celebs to rank each other on a given topic, from most likely to least likey, Variety reports. Seven stars would take part in each episode, and would air in a weekly format.
"This show is all about celebrities hanging out for a bit and taking their guard down," Merv Griffin Entertainment president Roy Bank said. "David's whole persona is that. His honesty has bled through and it's come back to haunt him a few times. If there was every a celebrity with a brand that matches the show, it's this." Yes, you could use David for that. Or, you know, anyone who can stand in front of seven other people and ask them goofy questions. May we suggest the Rays' Joe Maddon?
