David Bowie's son Duncan Jones is directing 'Warcraft' movie
We already know Legendary Pictures is making a video game adaptation movie of Warcraft, but now it has a director, Duncan Jones. You may remember him as the director of Source Code with Jake Gyllenhaal, or maybe as David Bowie's son.
There's no word on a storyline for the gamecentric epic, but it's being written by Charles Leavitt, who penned K-PAX and Blood Diamond, the Hollywood Reporter says. Those guys must spend a lot of time online to make this project right? Right?!?
This flick is supposed to have a budget of at least $100 million, which used to be a lot of money until Titanic came along. Shooting should start in the fall for a 2015 release, giving gamemaker Blizzard plenty of time to program lots of movie production in-jokes into subsequent expansion packs.
