David Carradine death now looks suspicious
The twists and turns in David Carradine's death are coming faster than you can say "under investigation." It seems there are some suspicious circumstances surrounding the 72-year-old actor's demise, according to media reports.
While a cause of death has yet to be determined, David's manager Chuck Binder says he is sure it was not a suicide. Early implications were that Carradine died as a result of autoerotic asphyxiation, since he was found hanging naked in a closet with another rope tied around "other parts of his body," according to the BBC, which had at first said it was his genitals. TMZ says those other parts were his hands, which were tied behind his back -- although the AP says it was a "strand of rope tied around Carradine's wrist."
"It is unclear whether he committed suicide or not or ... he died of suffocation or heart failure," Bangkok police told the site. We're wondering, does that mean someone else was with him? Dum dum DUUUUMM.
Fox News is leaning toward the foul play angle, saying a source told them that Carradine had been having money problems, but it wasn't bad enough for him to resort to suicide.
"David had been trying to make some fast cash doing personal appearances and things," the source said. "It was a rough year for him, and he was a big spender and always in debt, but he wouldn't have killed himself over finances. He wouldn't have hung himself, that was too much effort. His ego would never have let him do that."
