DEA pulls plug on Heath Ledger probe
That high-pitched, emaciated sigh of relief you hear is Mary-Kate Olsen, relieved she won’t have to spill her guts to the feds. The U.S. Attorney’s Office has closed its case into Heath Ledger’s accidental death from a drug overdose, People reports, and Olsen will not be forced to testify what she knows. Olsen, you’ll recall, was the first person called when Ledger’s body was found, and she wanted a promise of immunity before agreeing to testify about where he got his drugs. Reps for all parties involved are declining comment.
