Dog the bounty hunter screws up big time
Duane Chapman, a.k.a. Dog the Bounty Hunter, has issued an apology for being a racist, the AP reports. Well, not exactly for being a racist, but for using the dreaded N-word several times in a phone conversation with his son, Tucker, that was recorded and posted online by the National Enquirer.
Ironically, Chapman was telling Tucker to break up with his girlfriend — who is African American — because he didn’t want a African American to be near Chapman and his bounty hunters, since they would then hear the family using said slur, alert the media about it, and destroy the business.
Well guess what, Duane? “We take this matter very seriously,” A&E spokesman Michael Feeney said Thursday. “Pending an investigation, we have suspended production on the series. When the inquiry is concluded, we will take appropriate action.”
Chapman said something about being sorry and trying to “repair this damage” from “yet another slap in the face to an entire race of people,” but frankly, he’s dug his own grave this time.
