Dr. Dre tops Forbes list of highest-paid musicians

You may not have seen him in person for a good long while, but Dr. Dre is rolling in it, topping Forbes' annual list of highest-paid musicins with $110 million. Most of that was from selling his Beats headphone line, though, so don't expect it to last.

Dre collected $100 million pretax after HTC bought a 51 percent stake for $300 million, but he and his partners bought back half of what they sold, Forbes says. Coming up right behind him is Pink Floyd's Roger Waters, who rode The Wall Live tour to $88 million. Elton John got third with $80 million, also from touring, just like U2, which got $78 million from their 360 tour, and British boy band Take That, who got $69 million from a reunion tour.

Rounding out the top 10 was Bon Jovi, with $60 million; Britney Spears, who should be able to cover her $37,000 in back taxes to California after getting $58 million; Paul McCartney and Taylor Swift, tied with $57 million; and Toby Keith and Justin Bieber, who both got $55 million. That means Bieber can wear overalls to meet whomever he pleases.
