Elton John's husband David Furnish rips on Madonna
There's at least one minidrama unfolding from the snorefest that was Sunday's Golden Globes: Elton John's husband slammed Madonna on Facebook after Madge won best original song at the show. That's what TMZ says, anyway, because David Furnish won't accept The Juice*'s friend request.
Apparently Furnish took to his profile with comments like "Madonna. Best song??? F**k off!!!" -- understandable on some level, because John's song Hello Hello from Gnomeo and Juliet was up against Madonna's Masterpiece from her directorial debut, W.E. Then he goes on: "Madonna winning Best Original Song truly shows how these awards have nothing to do with merit. Her acceptance speech was embarrassing in it's narcissism. And her critisism of Gaga shows how desperate she really is."
That refers to Madonna lambasting Gaga in an interview, implying Born This Way was just a rehash of Express Yourself, which everyone else already did last year. As far as the speech is concerned, the really annoying part wasn't hear going on and on about how hard it was to direct and sing for the same movie, but rather that ridiculous affected accent that faded in and out. Watch it below and then go write on David's wall.
