Faith Hill returns to Redbook cover

Recall, if you will, the hullaballoo caused in July 2007, when Faith Hill appeared on the cover of Redbook magazine, only to have her original, unretouched cover photo leaked to The Photoshopping made Hill look years longer, and raised a bit of a blogosphere brouhaha over why a magazine would go to such lengths to make a star look so different on its cover.

Well, Faith and Redbook have apparently made up. The singer is appearing on the mag’s May issue, and inside, she’s posing as three iconic blondes -- Grace Kelly, Twiggy and Brigitte Bardot -- on three mock magazine covers. MSNBC’s Courtney Hazlett says the mag approached Hill with the idea, which didn’t appear to be a make-good for the dustup in 2007.

“We couldn’t be more pleased about the photos that were taken,” said her publicist, Paul Freundlich. “The reaction has been overwhelmingly positive. The images are incredibly original. They were beautifully done.”
