Fake trusts don't pay, Wesley
The guy whose legal woes eventually ensnared Wesley Snipes was sentenced to 27 months in prison, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Arthur L. Farnsworth, a 43-year-old Pennsylvania man, had accrued a tax debt of about $83,000 after determining that paying federal taxes was voluntary (oh, how we wish). Prosecutors said Farnsworth had transferred money to overseas accounts and put it into fake trusts to hide his money. When the feds raided his home in 2002, it led to a nationwide probe for fraudelent trusts, the AP says. One of the people caught in that probe? Our man Wesley, who no doubt is sweating bullets over his own alleged scheme. If this guy got 2-plus years, what could happen to Blade?
