BS sends out more tickets than its 325-seat studio can accommodate, so fans who wanted a seat needed to get in line early to see the 83-year-old’s last show.
“I’m here because I need to kiss Bob,” said Melanie Zepeda Velez, 32, from Alberta, Canada.
His icon status transcends the latest trends, it seems.
“I’d rather win a couch from Bob Barker than a million dollars from Howie Mandel,” said Mark Dub, a NASA engineer who flew from Houston for the final show. “He’s part of American culture.”
While Barker’s retirement begins Thursday, the last episode of his 35-year hosting career will air June 15. Until then, get all your spaying and neutering done in honor of the TV legend.
