FLASH! Paris still in jail, but in new clinic
Because we absolutely must tell you every single insignificant, incremental detail of Paris Hilton’s detainment, the AP reports our favorite mascot of shameful avarice had been moved from the Twin Towers medical ward back to the Century Regional Detention Center.
Lt. Daryl Meeks of the L.A. County Sheriff’s Dept. announced she was moved back around 11 p.m. Wednesday. At a press conference this morning, spokesman Steve Whitmore said the prisoner’s still-unnamed condition was stable, but she will continue to be monitored at the Lynwood jail’s clinic. Seriously, AIDS patients with sucking chest wounds get less treatment in jail.
But the move was all up to Sheriff Lee Baca, Whitmore said. “The Sheriff makes his own decision after consulting with various sources,” he said. Like Rick and Kathy Hilton, maybe?
Well, he insists he was only executing a transfer order by the medical staff, but that means Paris is getting a private 12-by-8 in a “step-down” unit, where ailing inmates finish recovery, TMZ adds.
She’s apparently under watch for severe panic attacks, which Hilton had been suffering before she was put on house arrest last week — the girl apparently can’t handle the cage, officials say. Did she never attend a “scared-straight” program?
