This version plans to turn the Frank Castle story on its ear by making him a detective with the NYPD who moonlights as the vigilante, Deadline.com reports. That's quite a change from the usual ex-Marine martial arts expert who acts as a full-time killing machine (although he was an FBI agent in the 2004 movie version). Remember when he went after Spider-Man? Must be because Disney bought Marvel.
This Ed Bernero project looks to move faster than Guillermo del Toro's Hulk show and Melissa Rosenberg's AKA Jessica Jones, the site says.
