Fox is rebooting 'Fantastic Four' franchise already
While Rambo 5 is in the works already, 20th Century Fox is planning a reboot of its two-movie-long Fantastic Four series. A reboot already? Jessica Alba as a blonde must not be that believable after all.
Variety says Akiva Goldsmith is producing with Michael Green, the co-executive producer of Heroes and co-writer of Green Lantern. Green has been picked to write the new Fantastic Four, to which Fox owns the rights. That means we'll be seeing Reed Richards and Dr. Doom in perpetuity, as long as we keep shilling out $9 a pop to watch it.
You would think with all the comic-book propertiescoming out, they'd find something better to do than reboot a franchise that only has two installments. The sequel's own Silver Surfer is getting his own flick, plus X-Men spinoffs X-Men Origins: First Class and X-Men Origins: Magneto. And don't forget Goldman projects like Jonah Hex, The Losers and Teen Titans, and a sequel for Will Smith's Hancock. Our hero? The person who curbs this madness.
