'Glee' creator says it's okay getting kicked out of parade
For those of you with strange fetishes for dancing high schoolers (you know who you are), it was no doubt heartbreaking to hear that NBC had organizers of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade rescind an offer to have the entire cast of Fox's Glee show up on a float. But series creator Ryan Murphy has something to say about it.
"I completely understand NBC's position, and look forward to seeing a Jay Leno float," Murphy told Entertainment Weekly. Jeez, bitter much?
NBC was quick to point out to EW that it's nothing personal -- they've let rival networks' stars in before (such as American Idol and High School Musical personalities), but to let an entire cast show up is just way too much promotion. They're saying this about the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade, by the way; you know, the one with the giant floats of cartoon characters and the choreographed numbers by dance troupes.
