Glee's Jane Lynch, wife Lara Embry headed to Palmetto High School fundraiser
It looks like Glee's Jane Lynch is headed back to sunny Florida, as the onetime Sarasota resident are headed back to the area for a fundraiser for the Palmetto High School rowing team. That's right, it's good news for a local school. That's a switch.
Lynch and her wife Lara Embry gave $15,000 to the Manatee County school back in February; Embry, who is an avid rower, was a psychologist in Bradenton before moving to California. Now they are headed back for the May 14 "Chopper Dropper," a contest in which people can pay $50 to buy one of 2,000 golf balls, the Bradenton Herald reports. The balls will then be dropped from a helicopter at Rive Isle Golf and Nautical Estates in Parrish. The ball landing closest to the contest pin wins $25,000, with other prizes being awarded.
The even better news for Gleeks is that the ticket price includes admission to a brunch where they can meet Sue Sylvester herself. That is, if you want to be insulted through a megaphone over breakfast.
