Golden Girls' Rue McClanahan suffers a minor stroke
Rue McClanahan, one of the two surviving members of the Golden Girls, is recovering after suffering a minor stroke while convalescing from heart bypass surgery, E! reports. Can you believe she's 75 years old?
The Emmy winner spent two weeks in the ICU after doctors removed a blood clot in her brain following her November heart surgery. Speech and movement on her right side has been affected, but she is making steady progress, her rep says. That doesn't sound so minor to us.
With some success in her physical therapy, she should be out of the hospital by the end of the month. Both mama and Papa Juice* had strokes, so we earnestly wish her the best of luck. Yes, we can be earnest at times.
