Halle Berry's fiance Olivier Martinez gets in fistfight with Gabriel Aubry
This isn't about a new movie, as The Juice* traditionally writes about the weekend following Thanksgiving, but it would be worth getting a bucket of popcorn to watch: Halle Berry's fiance, Olivier Martinez, and the father of her daughter, Gabriel Aubry, got into a fist fight on Thursday morning, landing Aubry in jail and both of them in the ER. Sounds like somebody got their just desserts.
The LAPD told People that Aubry had just dropped off 4 1/2-year-old Nahla at Berry's L.A. house on Thanksgiving morning when Martinez tried to talk to him out front and the two boys got into an argument, and Aubry allegedly pushed Martinez, who caught Gabriel in he eye with a solid right.
"Gabriel attacked Olivier and Olivier defended himself," the cops told the mag. Unfortunately for pretty boy Gabriel, Martinez's father was a professional boxer, and Olivier himself fought professionally for a few years before getting into acting. We think you know how this is going to turn out.
Aubry, 36, suffered a broken rib, a bruised face and a possible head injury. Martinez, 46, reportedly had a broken hand and a potential neck injury. TMZ says Aubry was arrested for battery, and a judge placed an emergency restraining order against him requiring him to stay 100 yards away from Berry, Martinez and his own daughter.
Word is the two men were arguing in French, which is fitting, since earlier this month Berry was denied a request to move Nahla to France to live with Martinez. The couple had been hoping live there because privacy laws are stricter than in the U.S. Now the gossip media are no doubt camped out in front of Berry's house, making her want to move to France more than ever.
