Harrison Ford may want to play Han Solo in Star Wars: Episode 7
Another uncomfirmed but wildly popular item about the future of the Star Wars franchise is word from Entertainment Weekly that Harrison Ford wants to resprise his role as Han Solo for Episode 7. We guess that means he doesn't loathe the franchise anymore -- or he likes the money more.
"Harrison is open to the idea of doing the movie and he’s upbeat about it, all three of them are," a source told the mag, referring also to Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill. To be fair, those two would be happy to be doing community theater at this point ... although Mark has been great as the Joker's voice on all those Batman cartoons and video games, and she's been busy writing lately. It's a change of heart for Ford, though, who has spent the better part of 30 decades wanting to stay away from his space pirate roots.
But do fans really want to see a 70-year-old Han Solo shooting first at kids to get off his lawn? Probably about as much as they wanted to see Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and we all know how great that movie was. Wait, no, it was the opposite of that.
