Harrison Ford signed to play Col. Graff in 'Ender's Game'

The Juice* has already speculated on reports that Harrison Ford will be joining the movie adaptation of Ender's Game, and now we know it's true. Variety says Ford has officially signed on to star with Asa Butterfield, Abigail Breslin and Hailee Steinfeld in a movie almost exclusively about kids. You know what they say about working with animals and children ...

The trade paper says Ford will indeed Col. Hyram Graff, the head of the Battle School, the military academy training all the kids. We've said Ford is a wee bit too old to play that role, but hey, they squeezed another Indy movie out of him, didn't they? Besides, he's married to Calista Flockhart, who is 22 years his junior, so he's used to being around kids.

This will fill Ford's plate, as he already agreed to play Brooklyn Dodgers general manager Branch Rickey in the Jackie Robinson biopic 42. Ender's Game isn't coming out until March 15, 2013, though, so he has some time.
