Heather Locklear arrested for hit and run
Heather Locklear just can't stay out of the legal system. Now she's been arrested for a hit-and-run -- meaning she hit a no parking sign in Ventura County, Calif., and ran off without telling anyone. Hey, it sure sounded sensational, didn't it?
Locklear was cited for misdemeanor hit and run after Ventury County Sheriff's deputies traced debris from the scene to Heather's 2005 BMW. It's a regular old CSI out there. The incident apparently happened around 4 a.m. Saturday, but it's anyone's guess if she was driving under the influence of pills again.
"While Locklear was technically arrested, she was not handcuffed or taken to a station because it was just a misdemeanor charge," sheriff's spokesman Ross Bonfiglio told People. "She was cooperative, but I can't give any information about any statements she made. She was cited and released. She signed a document stating she would make a court appearance."
Locklear's attorney, Blair Berk, says his client was ticketed, but may not have been driving the car at the time. Her court date is set for May 17, which should give Berk plenty of time to find the one-armed man actually responsible for this heinous act.
