Holly Madison replaces Jewel on 'Dancing With the Stars'
Singer Jewel Kilcher has lost her battle with tendonitis, surrendering her spot on the upcoming season of Dancing With the Stars to Girls Next Door star Holly Madison, Us reports. We can't decide if that's an improvement or a downgrade.
It's a last-second substitute for the show, which premieres on Monday on ABC. The network says both Jewel and Access Hollywood host Nancy O'Dell sustained injuries during training for the show that prevent them from continuing the competition.
Jewel had been blogging that after lots of rehearsals with partner Dmitry Chaplain, she had been forced to try steroid treatments for bad kneebones, which turned out to be fractured tibias in both legs. Her husband, Ty Murray, will still be competing on the show.O'Dell will need surgery to repair torn cartilage in a knee, ABC adds.
Both are still slated to appear on the show's premiere, when "additional changes to the cast" will be announced. Does that mean Kendra Wilkinson has a new job, too?
