Howard Stern in talks with NBC to join 'America's Got Talent'
Howard Stern is talking to NBC about joining America's Got Talent, which is great insider information for anyone going to the Tampa Convention Center over the weekend to try out. The bad news is, he's probably going to demand they move the show to DirecTV. Well, not really, but he does want them to move the show to New York.
The Wall Street Journal says the network is talking to the radio show host about a possible $15 million payday, which would be plenty to put him at the judge's table with Howie Mandel and Sharon Osbourne. Piers Morgan announced this week he's quitting the show to focus on his duties at CNN.
In case you were wondering, yes, $15 million is quite a bit more than the usual judge's salary, although the $2 million to $5 million average they usually get is nothing to sneeze at. Stern would get to continue to due his Sirius XM Radio show, which means he wouldn't be hurting for cash in any event.
