It apparently isn't too hard to write children's books these days

Tbdgerri041307 Scary had her baby, Posh is moving to the states and now Ginger Spice Geri Halliwell is not only writing a series of children’s books, but is headed back to the studio. The AP reports Halliwell has landed a six-book publishing deal with Macmillan to chronicle the animated adventures of Ugenia Lavender, a 9-year-old girl who balances everyday school life with solving mysteries (hey, whose childhood isn’t like that?). The 34-year-old plans to release one book a month next year from May to October of 2008, with a new song she’s recorded included on CD. Too bad her target audience will look at the disc like it’s an ancient relic before turning up their mp3 players. [Photo: AP]
