It's no 'Alien vs. Predator'
Here’s a philosophical argument for you: Is it okay to be upset that a B-movie director is remaking a cherished B movie? The Hollywood Reporter says Death Race, Paul W.S. Anderson’s remake of Roger Corman’s 1975 classic Death Race 2000, may be casting Brit tough guy Jason Statham in the David Carradine role. We don’t know whether to laugh or cry, especially since Tom Cruise was the original choice for the Paramount project (but we know how they feel about him now). In case you’ve never seen it, DR2000 is about a cross-country road race where drivers score points for running down innocent bystanders. Or, as you know it, the daily I-275 commute.
