Jaleel White responds to ex-girlfriend's abuse allegations
We remember erstwhile Urkel Jaleel White's little domestic dispute from 2010, but since he never went to jail, it sounded like everything worked out. But considering ex-girlfriend Bridget Hardy just told Star all about the incident, claiming he verbally and physically abused her, it doesn't seem all has been forgiven.
Hardy, the mother of the couple's 2-year-old daughter Samaya, told the mag "he hit me across the chest area," and noted "he pushed me into the toilet, and it broke." She also reveals she found evidence he was cheating on her in his cellphone, and insulted her by saying, "He told me I'm not working; I have no money; I'm white trash. None of it was true." That's not exactly the picture of White we have in our heads.
White responded with a statement to People, basically saying Hardy is crazy. "The allegations made against me back in 2010 have suspiciously resurfaced in time to coincide with my new show on Syfy and Dancing With The Stars," he said, pointing out he was never detained by policed or charged with a crime, although the allegations surfaced during a child custody dispute.
"Bridget Hardy has consistently shown a knack for timing throughout our child custody disputes. I guess my most recent successes have been too much for her to stomach. I'm assuming I have not received her votes these past Monday nights. "
The 35-year-old also notes that "up until now we have had a workable joint custody arrangement," and that he's been paying child support. "My only hope is that when my daughter Googles her parents one day in her future, she sees that her father acted with class and dignity when pressed to the fire," he said. Wait, kids google their parents now? Don't get any ideas, Baby Juice*.
