James Cromwell joins 'American Horror Story' cast
One of the few shows we actually do watch religiously is FX's American Horror Story, mostly because it's dark and creepy and every character on it ends up dead. Wonder what a shrink would have to say about that ... Anyway, now they've added James Cromwell to the cast, so season 2 is obviously now far superior than the first, and it hasn't even been shot yet.
Deadline.com says show creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk have plans to use Cromwell as Dr. Alden, an employee of the lunatic asylum run by Jessica Lange. The role is reportedly a 10-episode arc in which Cromwell and Lange butt heads repeatedly, which should showcase more scenery chewing than a Martin Scorsese flick.
We're really digging Cromwell's new chrome dome, but he just started that look recently -- as in the last couple months. Of course, all you need to do is check the mug shot at the top of The Juice* blog to understand that admiration. Hey, hair and brains don't grow in the same place.
