Javier Bardem will be the next James Bond villain

We may not know how much longer James Bond will be around, but we do know his next villain will be played by none other than Javier Bardem. After No Country For Old Men and Biutiful, there's no doubt he will be competing for the title of best Bond villain ever.

"I am very excited. My parents took me to watch the movies and I saw all of them. So to play that is going to be fun," Bardem told Christiane Amanpour on Nightline about his role in the next film, which is still under the working title Bond 23. "They chose me to play this man, but I cannot give you many details."

Oh, that's fun, because it allows us to make up our own. We'll say that Javier plays some kind of Spanish contract killer, but because it's a Bond movie, he's got a mechanical heart instead of a real one, and if Bardem's wife ever leaves him, it will explode, so 007 has to romance her away to assassinate him. Then they can name the movie The Spy Who Died of a Broken Heart! Nah, that's lame.
