Jay-Z denies secret love child rumors; source retracts DNA claim
It didn't take long after Beyonce Knowles' announcement she was pregnant for the haters to bring false paternity allegations against Jay-Z, but the operative word there is false. It looks like he finally found his 100th problem.
Let's see if we can get this straight: A model from Trinidad named Shenelle Scott has a 9-year-old son, whom Star says is the illegitimate love child of the rap mogul, and to prove it, they got Jerald Andrews, the father of Shenelle's ex-boyfriend, Malik Sayeed, to tell Star that DNA testing "determined that (the child is) Jay-Z's baby." You may have heard that, because it caused quite a titter on the Twitter.
Turns out it may have just been Andrews trying to get Shawn Carter to take the blame because Sayeed was originally called the father of the poor kid. Jay-Z's people were quick to respond, telling AllHipHop.com, "There is no truth to these ridiculous rumors. People should be ashamed of using this kind of story and exploiting a child for publicity and ratings."
Andrews told the New York Daily News, "The stuff about the DNA test was on the internet. It's all from an old article on the internet. I don't know if it's true." So the moral of the story is, be careful what you read on the Internet, okay? You can Take The Juice*'s word for it.
