Jay-Z says he's banning the word 'bitch' from lyrics
Things have really changed for Jay-Z since his daughter Blue Ivy Carter was born. Seems that since his baby girl has officially become the youngest person to ever hit the Billboard chart, he's decided he needs to eliminate the word "bitch" from all his lyrics. That's going to make rapping 99 Problems and Bitches & Sisters really hard in the future.
"Before I got in the game, made a change, and got rich/I didn't think hard about using the word bitch/I rapped, I flipped it, I sold it, I lived it/Now with my daughter in this world I curse those that give it," he announced in a poem for his daughter, NME.com reports. "No man will degrade her, or call her name. I'm so focused on your future, the degradation has passed. I wish you wealth, health and insight. Forever young you may pass. Blue Ivy Carter, my angel."
No doubt wife Beyonce had a hand in this, which makes The Juice* wonder, why was it okay for him to say bitch when he was married, but life has suddenly changed because he has a baby girl? You'd think Be would be a bit offended by that.
